A special Thanksgiving Celebration was organized to honor and recognize the dedication and hard work of all the workers involved in the renovation of the Mother house in Paris, France.. It was a way for us to express our gratitude for all their achievements, hard work and dedication. The Eucharistic Celebration was attended by workers and project leaders. This Thanksgiving Day celebration marked a significant milestone, honoring those who turned a vision into reality. A grand feast was organized, featuring traditional dishes and delicacies.
On June 30, 2024, a special ceremony was held to bless the newly renovated building. The blessing was a profound and joyful event, marking a new chapter in the life of the Mother House.
On July 3, 2024, sisters from surrounding communities were invited to visit the renovated Mother House. A solemn mass was celebrated in the main chapel by our chaplain, Father Élie. The sisters led the mass with songs in various languages, underlining the international character of the Mother House. The day’s participants were then divided into three small groups, accompanied by the Superior General and her two assistants, for a guided tour of the new premises.
At the end of the tour, the sisters gathered for a fraternal meal. In her address before the meal, the Superior General, Sr. Clare Stanley, underlined the collaborative effort and grace of God that guided the project.. The sisters thoroughly enjoyed their visit. This was reflected in their thanks and very positive feedback.
On 11 July 2024, the contractors involved in the renovation of the Mother House hosted a community BBQ (barbecue) in the courtyard. The workers and sisters were all present at the event. This fostered a sense of community and recognition of the contributions of everyone involved.
With deep joy, we gave thanks to God for all his blessings.
