The capitulars gathered around the ginkgo tree planted by our Foundress. After a short introduction and prayer, a song to the Holy Spirit was sung in 4 different languages.
A procession entered the “Grande Salle” carrying the flags of our 55 countries. As the capitulars entered the hall, they sang a song composed by one of our sisters especially for this 2024 Chapter - ¨Ensemble, Enflamons le Monde¨.
The Superior General, Sister Clare Stanley, lit the Chapter candle. After the role call of the capitulars, she gave a welcome address and declared the General Chapter 2024 open.
This was followed by a beautiful Eucharistic Celebration, and a sumptuous meal and song and dance.
