- 5 communities
- 18 sisters
- Founded in 1893
In our different locations, we work to witness to the Gospel in the midst of all our brothers and sisters, some communities being located in areas where the population is heavily influenced by Islam.
Our apostolate is primarily carried out in the areas of education and health.
Education
Human, spiritual and intellectual education of young people and adults is carried out through education in our various institutions:
- Nursery Schools
- Primary schools
- Secondary schools: in this field focus is on preparing the girls to be the highly educated women of tomorrow who can take over the country’s destiny.
- Boarding schools
We strive to cultivate in the young people entrusted to us:
- tolerance and respect for others as they are, since we live and minister to people of all religions and all cultures
- spiritual formation for children and adults through catechesis
- spiritual accompaniment of youth
- basic Christian communities
- participation in parish life
This year we have been very active in the parish of Blessed Anne-Marie Javouhey in Conakry, which was consecrated on February 1, 2015. The planning and celebration of this event over several weeks, was an opportunity for us to raise awareness about our Mother Foundress’ life.
Health
Our sisters treat patients from different backgrounds at the Maternity Clinic in Katako where they do everything they can to give quality care.
